Meet Fanci Monteith!
Pastoral Counseling
Mission Statement

Fanci believes that spiritual health deeply impacts every aspect of a person’s life. If our perception of God is informed by our experiences, we may see life as a hopeless existence where entrance to heaven becomes the finish line of an abysmal march. If we instead allow God to inform our experience of life, we shift from a life of self-preservation to living eternal life now, as it was meant to be.
Vision for Impact

Fanci spent five years working as a licensed practical nurse in mental health, triage, and care navigation. In the role of practical nurse, I spent considerable time working one-on-one with many patients who were struggling to connect clinical and spiritual care. Within the church, I led a group of young adults in the aftermath of COVID-19 and acted as an emotional and spiritual support through the difficult experiences of social distancing and feelings of isolation, anxiety, and depression they faced.
My Motto

Fanci is solution and identity-focused in her approach.
Professional Background
Fanci lives in the greater Orlando area of central Florida with her wonderful husband of 5 years. She is an animal lover and “mother” to a great dane and a cockatiel, but would gladly host a small zoo in her home given the chance. Fanci chose to become a pastoral counselor after spending many years desperately seeking clinical solutions to a spiritual problem. As a nurse, she came to value the significance of medication and clinical therapy in helping people treat clinical conditions, but patients often ran into the same struggle she faced herself. “There was no clinical therapy that helped them step into the abundant life promised by Christ. It’s not that clinical treatment isn’t necessary, for many people it is crucial and highly effective. Still, medical treatment alone will always leave out one piece of the puzzle: purpose. Through Christ, we find meaning and purpose in our lives. Through Christ, hopelessness becomes a temporary experience. Having been led into this life of abundance and freedom, I cannot help but seek to share it with others.”

Because of this, I find myself moonlighting as a counselor to help others find the same freedom in Christ that I found through an intimate relationship with the One who knows us fully and entirely…Jesus Christ!”
