My road to becoming a Functional Nutrition Coach was paved with personal struggles. After the birth of my youngest child, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, an autoimmune thyroid disorder. The medications prescribed to manage my condition not only failed to alleviate my symptoms but seemed to exacerbate them. I felt trapped, watching my body betray me, and I knew I had to find another way.
Over the next fifteen years, I took charge of my health by studying holistic care practices that focused on treating the entire body, not just symptoms. The mission was clear: to ensure my body functioned at its best potential. With my children grown (my youngest just graduated from Trinity Christian!), I pursued and achieved my certification from the Functional Nutrition Alliance. My aim? To empower others to regain control of their health, just as I did.
So, what does a Functional Nutrition Coach do exactly? We delve deep into the root causes of your health concerns – whether they’re physical, mental, or emotional. Think of your body as a plant: its health is determined by the quality of the soil it’s in. Similarly, our wellbeing hinges on our external and internal environments. The food we eat, our lifestyle, our daily routines—all play a pivotal role in our health.
In this journey towards better health, I act as your guide. I help cleanse your internal “soil”, ensuring it has the right nutrients to support your growth and wellbeing. The goal is to foster health and wellness, steering clear of dysfunction and disease.

By delving into the specific events that have impacted your health, I’m able to create a plan tailored just for you. My services include a Comprehensive Health History Intake Session (1+ hour); A detailed session where I aim to understand your body’s history and determining factors that have affected your current health status and a Personalized Coaching Session (1 hour): Based on our deep dive, I’ll provide tailored nutrition and lifestyle suggestions that align with your needs, ensuring your journey towards better health is a success.
